
Kreeda

The air on the courts hasn’t been thick with just sweat and the squeak of shoes, but with grit,
determination, and an unrelenting hunger for success. Over the past academic year, athletes
representing Kreeda have been tremendous in reaching the podium across a wide range of
sporting arenas. While the achievements of Kreeda could fill up volumes, here is a glimpse of
their remarkable journey.
Basketball
Basketball continued to stay in the limelight this season, with R. Lasya bagging a gold medal at
the CM Cup and earning selection to the National Games held in Goa. The women’s team
sustained the momentum by securing second place at two inter-college tournaments. Kreeda
also organized an Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament, Athlos, featuring over 14 teams.
Dominating on home turf, the boys’ team clinched the title, while the women’s team finished as
runners-up.
Football
Following a busy season with participation in five tournaments, the football team secured 3rd
place at the 6th National Open Inter Engineering Collegiate Tournament held at VNRVJIET.
Adding to their success, the team also clinched 1st place at HITAM.
Chess
Chess witnessed an exceptional year led by S. Srujan Keerthan, who competed at the state
level and clinched gold medals at two major tournaments held at VNRVJIET and BITS Pilani
Hyderabad. Complementing this success, the college chess team delivered a commendable
fourth-place finish at the BITS Pilani Hyderabad tournament.
Table Tennis
Table Tennis marked a highly successful season for Kreeda, with strong performances across
national and inter-university platforms. Ch. Godha Tejaswini delivered an impressive run,
securing a silver medal at the VNRVJIET inter-collegiate tournament, followed by a gold medal
at the XI National Level Inter Engineering Sports Meet. Adding to the accolades, J. Tarun Yadav
represented the college at the All India Inter-University Games and clinched gold at the K. G.
Reddy State-Level Sports Fest (INVICTA).
Powerlifting
Powerlifting witnessed an outstanding year led by M. Divya Manaswini, who delivered a series
of remarkable performances across national, state, and district levels. She clinched a gold
medal in the 84+ category at the 33rd Junior National Bench Press Championship held in Goa
and was honored with the Sports Achievement Award for Excellence in Powerlifting by the Jai
Bharat Legend Sports Academy on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Continuing her
dominant run, she secured silver medals at the district championship, junior state powerlifting
championships, reinforcing Kreeda’s strength in powerlifting.
Other Sporting Achievements
● Hockey: Kreeda achieved national-level representation at the Senior Women’s
National Championship held in Panchkula, Haryana.
● Cricket: Kreeda marked its presence on the national stage with participation in the
Women’s U-23 One Day Trophy held in Goa.
● Rugby: The rugby contingent earned a silver medal at the 6th Telangana State Senior
Inter-District Championship.
● Throwball: Kreeda’s throwball team secured a silver medal at SANGRAM 2025,
hosted by HITAM.
These accomplishments are not merely medals and trophies, but reflections of countless hours
of dedication, resilience, and teamwork. With this season closing, one truth prevails, Kreeda
continues to remain at the pinnacle, defined by the soaring heights of its achievements and the
unwavering spirit of its athletes.
