Paranormal activities around us.

Generally, every person is scared of ghosts. A ghost is often described as the residual consciousness of a dead body without a physical form, but said to retain some energy. There is no proof of the existence of ghosts, but paranormal places are often identified by checking the negative energy which is present in that place. This is the reason why people feel uncomfortable in the paranormal places, whereas in the case of temples, they tend to feel more peaceful as temples are believed to contain positive energy.

There are many paranormal places across the world. Few in our country are Bhangarh Fort in Rajasthan, Kuldhara Village near Jaisalmer, Dumas Beach in Surat and many more. These places are declared to be paranormal by Indian Paranormal Society (IPS), founded by Gaurav Tiwari in 2010. Paranormal places are declared by this association. Gaurav used to say, “Ghosts or 'consciousness' of human beings that survive physical death have no relation with day or night. Paranormal activity is independent of time. But we investigate at night because the environment is silent.”

One of the paranormal investigations led by Gaurav Tiwari was Lambi Dehar Mines, Mussoorie. These mines were established in 1970. But by 1990, almost 45,000 workers died due to toxic gases and working without any precautions. Many believed that this place was paranormal. So Gaurav, his team and ZEE news visited this place for investigation. Raj, one of the team members, was investigating alone in an unexplored section of the mines. As he moved deeper, faint voices began to echo around him, and his EMF meter started to fluctuate. He carefully noted the readings but didn’t stop to take photographs. Soon, Gaurav and the rest of the team joined him. Suddenly, the voices grew louder, and all the EMF meters stopped working at once. To steady his team’s nerves, Gaurav called out loudly, “Who is here?” Almost instantly, the voices fell silent. Believing the spirits had left, Gaurav felt a moment of relief, until they all heard the sound of footsteps rushing toward them. To their shock, it was Raj, breathless, claiming he had gotten lost in the mines. The team froze. If Raj had been lost, then who had been with them since the beginning of the investigation? They turned back, only to find that Raj was no longer there.

Gaurav later explained that spirits don’t intend harm; they only seek to prove their existence. Yet his own death would remain an unsettling mystery, he was found hanging, with his wife’s dupatta as the noose. 

According to science there is no proof of spirits. But science is not always absolute. There are countless mysteries in the universe that remain beyond its reach. science. Just because something is invisible to us does not mean it does not exist. Declaring the unseen as nonexistent is a mistake.

Even humans, with all our intelligence, often fail to sense dangers that animals can easily detect. For example, before tsunamis, many animals move away from the shore, sensing  disasters long before humans can. Similarly, the unusual barking of dogs at night is often believed to signal the presence of spirits. The existence of such entities remains a mystery, one that continues to puzzle human understanding.
