Public Relations Committee

Public Relations Committee

"Turning chaos into creativity" - that's what drives the Public Relations Committee of KMIT to give their all at every event. They're the reason our college socials look effortlessly cool while also making sure that every event goes on accordingly.

From drafting agendas for events to voicing student concerns, PR covers a lot of bases. Every time you see an activity in the canteen or a flash mob on the basketball court, there’s certainly a group working quietly (sometimes chaotically) behind the scenes, helping every club and committee plan and promote with perfection.
The PR team may function as one, but behind the curtain are seven key roles. Here are the people you should thank when you get a free pepsi during KMIT Evening.

Content Creator

They are always brimming with fresh ideas and an endless supply of enthusiasm. Whether it’s conceptualizing catchy reels, brainstorming campaign ideas, or giving events a creative spin, the content creator ensures the PR team’s output is never short on originality.
"Posting what everyone’s talking about (and what they will)"  - Syanthan, Content Creator

Sponsorship Manager

The team’s strategist and negotiator, the sponsorship manager builds bridges between the college and potential partners. They handle collaborations and secure sponsorships that keep events running smoothly.
“Turning awkward cold calls into warm sponsorships, that’s the PR way!” - Rishab, Sponsorship Manager

Graphic Designer

The visual architect of the PR team. From eye-catching posters to sleek social media templates, the graphic designer transforms ideas into stunning visuals.
"PR grabs attention, I seal the deal with design." - Rythma, Graphic Designer

Developer

The tech backbone of the team. From constantly updating and maintaining the PR website to ensuring a smooth experience for pass sales during events, the developer turns creative concepts into functional online experiences.
"I turn caffeine into code and chaos into creativity." - Arnav, Developer

Documentation Incharge

They keep track of event reports and official records - ensuring that every meeting and discussion is properly archived. When the team’s creative chaos needs structure, the documentation in-charge brings order (and well-formatted Google Docs) to the table
"I'm the reason our future selves will remember what actually happened!!" - Rishika, Documentation Incharge

Video Editor

The duo of geniuses who transform hours of raw footage into two minutes of pure emotion. Whether it’s a highlight reel, a fest recap, or a promotional video, they capture the college’s energy frame by frame.
"If it gives goosebumps, I probably edited it." - Abhinandan, Video Editor
"Interstellar taught me time dilation. Editing made me live it." - Rushik, Video Editor

Class Representative Manager

The communication link between the PR team and every classroom. They coordinate with class representatives across departments to ensure news, events, and updates reach every corner of campus.
"Balancing chaos and coordination - one CR at a time." - Rishik, Class Representative Manager
Separated by their roles but united as a team, PR thrives in conditions that truly live up to their motto. And somehow, amidst the madness, they always pull it off - with smiles, deadlines met (eventually) and a whole lot of fun.

So the next time you scroll through one of their reels and think, "Wow, that looks amazing", remember - there's a team of creators, coders, editors and communicators who made sure it did.
