For many, “Recurse” might just sound like another tech term. You know, recursion, base condition & all that. But for us, it’s not just that. It’s a bunch of tech enthusiasts who somehow end up turning every random conversation into a tech debate.

It’s the place where you’ll see people fighting over Linux, getting excited about new tech launches, and sharing memes that only make sense to coders. And even if you’re not super into tech yet, don’t worry!! you’ll still find your people here. Before you know it, you’ll be learning things, doing things, and becoming a version of yourself that your past self would actually be proud of.

That’s Recurse for you.

Now, let’s talk about the culture.

When someone says technical club, the first image that comes to mind is a bunch of people sitting with laptops, that constant click of keyboards. And yeah, we do that a lot. But that’s not all. It’s also about staying up till 2 a.m. in meets, going from discussing frameworks to anime to random ideas. It’s about hosting big college events, pulling off crazy things that sound impossible, and still laughing through the chaos.

Alright, maybe that sounds like too much flex. So here's proof.

Codenovate
 24-hour offline hackathon. The chaos, the sleepless nights, the energy - everything about it screams Recurse. Visiting colleges, promoting, brainstorming problem statements, and managing 200 participants. It wasn’t smooth (honestly far from it), but looking back, it’s one of those moments that make us go, “Yeah, we actually did that.”

Coin Quest
 Imagine a day when people are running around college hunting QR codes like it’s a full-on treasure hunt. Every room has a fun game to play, and honestly, most first years explored the college for the first time through this event. Ask any orange tag what their favorite Recurse event is - it’s definitely Coin Quest.

Code Sangram
 Alright, yes, this one’s pure tech. A DSA competition in two rounds - intense, logical, and honestly, kinda fun if you like that rush. Plus, amazing prizes.

KBC – Kaun Banega Codepati
 Not Crorepati, but Codepati. We did this during Saanjh Day-1. Probably the only time we did something for a college fest. The hot seat, the spotlight, and the dream of winning 1 crore… okay, not really. It’s ₹1,000. But still. Didn’t expect anyone to reach that far, yet our participants nailed it.

Prompt Quest

Every day we use AI to build our projects, but what if you got judged not just on what you built, but how you prompted it? That’s exactly what Prompt Quest was all about. Because at this point, prompting isn’t just a skill, it’s an art  and we had a blast testing it.

Now, that’s not all about Recurse. On a slightly sad note, we don’t really take part in other college events. I mean, what would a technical club even perform, right? So, we started creating our own events. But for us, it was never just about organizing. It’s about the participants and the members. about how much they’re learning, growing and genuinely enjoying every bit of it.
